Re:relocation of car related business - 2006/04/18 17:38 Charles Styles has contacted me to arrange a propossed meeting for today (Tuesday 18th April 2006) in which myself and my Partner Paul Hayward would like put our points of view and needs of not ONLY OUR BUSINESS but the people of lewes accross. We feel that we are just as important as all other business on the pheonix ind estate and deserve to be offered a relocation site if the propossed plans go ahead, appropriate to our needs and our customers convenience, in our present loation it is perfect, as with all our fellow car related business. We are a very busy garage and hope that we may continue to be in the future, for the people of Lewes and surrounding areas. We agree with all the points put accross by Brian from Lewes Car Valeting and Brian from Lewes car body and hope that after this meeting today an aggreeable outcome can be met. I will keep you posted. Thank you. Dave Ryan - North Street Garage Ltd

Re:relocation Lewes carbody centre - 2006/04/18 21:37 Having today met with Charles Style of Angel properties we are a little more at ease with the proposed consequences regarding the developement and the relocation of both our businesses and others in the area. We have been given verbal assurances that all will be adequately relocated to the malling brooks area and if this is so then Lewes will still be served with its existing motor repair facilities. Written guarantees are always harder to find than verbal assurances and although we have been told that plans will be drawn up showing where our businesses are to be relocated, they are not as yet on the drawing board. We await these plans with interest and, if they are satisfactory, we also await the aforementioned written guarantee that this will be a certain part of the developement.

Re: relocation of businesses - 2006/04/24 14:45 My company, Baltic Trader Ltd, rents the unit next to Lewes Car Valeting and Lewes Car Body on North Street. We moved into the unit in July 2000 and have invested in equipping the unit as a warehouse for our import/retail business (established in Lewes in 1997). I have not been contacted by Charles Style or any representative of Angel Properties. Yet Mr Style has stated on this website that:

"I will admit we have been remiss in not contacting all the smaller businesses earlier. We will now recitfy this situation, and will be contacting all the remaining occupiers that have not already been contacted by us this week to discuss their needs." (Message posted 18.04.06)

Are there any other businesses that have not been contacted?

Re:relocation Lewes car valeting - 2006/04/30 23:03 I am fascinated to know how the developer can claim (see Fancy a Punt) that this is not a viable industrial area, when despite having spent two years consulting the most professional consultants he could afford, they all failed to consult so many of his tenants.

Dear site visitor at IP address 38.103.63.61. We were forced to make it necessary for you to register and login before making forum postings because of the constant flood of unwanted and often abusive material that was being uploaded by anonymous spammers from all over the world.
