A balanced public meeting - 2007/03/19 00:56 As one of the so-called experts speaking from the platform at the recent town hall meeting pilloried in the letters page of the Sussex Express this week (16th March) for presenting a one-sided view of the Phoenix development, I can say with a fair degree of certainty that nearly all of the 400 people in the audience agreed with the statements expressed. The voting at the end confirmed it. There was plenty of opportunity for challenge from the audience and everybody, including Kim Clark and Roy Patten were able to express their opinions.
Speaking on my own subject of 'traffic', I stated at the time that if there was a way of managing traffic to improve movement, I couldn't conceive one (since the all encompassing 'Signposts to 2010' seems to be a dead duck that almost no one now has heard of) and nor can anyone else. I would love to put a positive slant on this aspect of the development and challenge anyone to come up with one.

A balanced public meeting

Dear site visitor at IP address 38.103.63.61. We were forced to make it necessary for you to register and login before making forum postings because of the constant flood of unwanted and often abusive material that was being uploaded by anonymous spammers from all over the world. I'm sure you know the sort of stuff - viagra ads and the like - what a bore! But you can of course read the postings without logging in, and in any case it only takes a couple of minutes to register - you're not losing your privacy, but you're keeping out the spammers. So do please register and continue using the forum - we need your input! Thanks, Lewes Matters Admin.
