Re:Conservation Area Advisory Committee - 2007/05/16 22:56I dread to think. maybe some postcards of the castle, and the book of Town walks? I also wonder what Councillors have been relying on when considering Conservation Area issues, other than Mr Leas personal opinion.

Re:Conservation Area Advisory Committee - 2007/05/18 11:31To Sashka, Harry, et al -
Thank you to all who maintain such interest in Lewes having its own CAAC.
The value of such a group becomes clearer as the weeks go by.
When I submit my proposals for public scrutiny - including, of course, LDC, this discussion thread will form an important part of the archive.

Re:Conservation Area Advisory Committee - 2007/05/19 16:23It would appear that the only thing the Conservation Officer conserves is his own energy!
The recording of the Conservation Area Officers "professional opinion" appears to be the keeping of his post-it notes on planning applications (even then these consist of a few words usually asking what English Heritage think).
Lewes deserves better.
