I would like to suggest that you all visit your neighbouring town of Newhaven as soon as possible and look at the major development that is under way there. It is called The Cape at Newhaven Harbour and is in the process of being built by Oakdene Homes. I do not know whether you are aware of it and its similarity to your Phoenix Quarter development.
Oakdene Homes have finally released the first and second phase of this prestigious and exciting new redevelopment of the Marina at Newhaven. In total 600 new homes are planned along the waters edge, with stunning views over the English Channel. When completed, there will be restaurants, shops and many sporting facilities, making this the place to be and be seen. The Marina will undergo a transformation, as part of the re-development project offering an excellent alternative to Brighton Marina for those sailing enthusiasts.
I have included some URL links below, which will give you an idea of the size and scope of this development - 600 new homes with the largest building 9 stories high - it towers over the town and blocks the view of many peoples' homes. I do not know whether you want for the same thing in your pretty town of Lewes.
