Pheonix Developement - 2006/05/16 20:21 I personally think the Pheonix developement is an exciting and well needed addition to Lewes. People need to face the reallity that the area of proposed developement is 'Grey Land' and currently an industrial area falling apart. There is absolutely no doubt that it will be used for housing eventually, with its prime location on the bank of the river. The government is always pushing for more housing and as none of us want to see more developement into the beautiful green downs that surround Lewes we should be all for, developement in industrial area's.

Plus from an in depth look at the plans for the Pheonix center it has well designed green area's and wetlands and I a river walk. I feel it will be a great place to socialise and be a center point for the creative community of Lewes.

Come on Lewes lets move with the times and not be scared of change !!

If this project doesn't happen, another one will wich may not have such a green consideration !

Re:Pheonix Developement - 2006/05/18 22:05 I don't know what you have been looking at, but there aren't any 'in depth plans'. Even the developer has been forced to admit that. We all agree that the green ideas would be great but I suggest you ask him about his commitment to green issues, and how he is going to guarantee his promises when he has sold the site to someone else, and then let us know what the response was.

Dear site visitor at IP address 38.103.63.61. We were forced to make it necessary for you to register and login before making forum postings because of the constant flood of unwanted and often abusive material that was being uploaded by anonymous spammers from all over the world. I'm sure you know the sort of stuff - viagra ads and the like - what a bore! But you can of course read the postings without logging in, and in any case it only takes a couple of minutes to register - you're not losing your privacy, but you're keeping out the spammers. So do please register and continue using the forum - we need your input! Thanks, Lewes Matters Admin.
