Fancy a punt? - 2006/04/28 11:55 If anyone has a few quid spare and fancies giving property development a go, check out http://www.southdownslewes.co.uk/index.html
Poor Mr Style getting all this grief, when these guys buy a field, submit an outline application and within 2 years they trouser a fortune.

P.S. Is there an obligation to show a picture of Bill's in all Lewes developer's property ads?

Re:Fancy a punt? - 2006/04/28 12:40 Do you know who's going to trouser the fortune? I assume it's NOT Mr Style!

Re:Fancy a punt? - 2006/04/28 12:44 Interesting that at least they've got plans, elevations and photo illustations publicly available on their website.

Re:Fancy a punt? - 2006/04/28 12:48 The site in Southdowns Road is not and has never been owned by Angel Property and our proposal to regenerate the Phoenix area should not be confused with this.

Re:Fancy a punt? - 2006/04/28 12:49 The planners slipped this one under the wire in August last year. A former LDC councillor was told it "probably wouldn't come to planning" that month and then, surprise, surprise, it did. I thought the change of use from industrial estate had been challenged, but presumably, the developer has sorted that too.

The slick processing through planning of this development is one of the reasons why Charles Style is getting such a rough ride.

Re:Fancy a punt? - 2006/04/28 12:54 Robert, if your comment is to suggest that we should have plans ,elevations and artists impressions on our website, I would like to remind you that we have publically stated that we will be posting all the information relating to our proposals on www.thephoenixquarter.co.uk as soon as the scheme is finalised and we are ready to submit our planning application. It should also be reiterated that we have not exactly kept our proposals a secret, the public exhibition of our development proposals has been available for viewing on three seperate occasions and we have presented to all local interest groups, including at a public town meeting.

Dear site visitor at IP address 38.103.63.61. We were forced to make it necessary for you to register and login before making forum postings because of the constant flood of unwanted and often abusive material that was being uploaded by anonymous spammers from all over the world. I'm sure you know the sort of stuff - viagra ads and the like - what a bore! But you can of course read the postings without logging in, and in any case it only takes a couple of minutes to register - you're not losing your privacy, but you're keeping out the spammers. So do please register and continue using the forum - we need your input! Thanks, Lewes Matters Admin.
