Re:LDC Planning Dept - 2008/06/16 10:05
Unfortunately the Lewes house site decision is final. You only have a right to appeal against a decision if you are an applicant! Even if you know that a decision was illegal, you cannot get an appeal, you can only ask for a judicial review of the decision. It is a failure in government policy that our MP's should be questioning. Our useless planning department keep benefitting from the situation. The latest news about the Lewes House site is that English heritage have agreed that a historic building on the site is listed. Our completely questionable planning staff have approved demolition of this lovely little building, without realising/admitting that it is listed. This apalling mistake is attracting a lot of attention as it is not the first major mistake, and there is now a BBC investiogative TV programme going around town!
I still don't know if Jenny Mumford has been taken to court, or recieved an apology. Norman Baker should be asked to comment.
