On the subject of models, I would agree that it would help people understand a development but is not always the best tool. In a past life I used be a professional architectural modelmaker and often found that they gave one a helicopter view of a scheme. Fine if you own one or are interested in the view from the downs or as an architect want to see how pretty the roof is. Lewes is full of different levels and to access the impact from street level is what many poeple want to know. Nowadays computer modeling, flyby animation and miniture cameras in the physical model are all ways of getting a better idea of any proposed scheme. So a model, I feel, is one way of conveying the plans but not always the best. A mixture of presentation methods would be best
