Piers Gough's views on residents - 2007/06/03 17:45 At the town meeting in March, a number of people gave support to Angel's plans based on their respect for its architect Piers Gough, who was raised in Lewes.

No doubt they will want to read Mr. Gough's view of local campaginers, as expressed on the 9th of March this year, on the website bdonline.co.uk

Scroll down to the comments where Selma Montford, of the Brighton Society, responds.

Re:Piers Gough's views on residents - 2007/06/05 18:04 Given Mr Gough's views in this article about residents affected by developments and the earlier views he expressed about council planning officers (dreary and third rate, I think it was). it seems that the only 'unrepresentative minority' entitled to have an opinion is the architect/developer.

Re:Piers Gough's views on residents - 2007/06/05 19:28 Mr Style shares a similar veiw. he has blamed Southwark for planning problems, despite a shocking list of deviations from approved plans that is listed in the retrospective application being considered as I write. He also has blamed the Residents of his development for objecting to the breaches of planning. The application is not about approving what Mr Style has done, but is about making the best out of a bad situation. The word used is 'expedient'.Anyone impressed by plans should know that Southwark have stated that the new building is of diferent design and height, has an extra floor, and has been built with commercial flats, not the affordable housing that was approved. We should be asking, why did Mr Style do this without permission.
