Charles Style has confirmed that he will be working in partnership with registered social landlords to provide the affordable housing he is proposing for this development. He will need to transfer ownership of those parts of the sites to Affinity and Guinness. This is completely normal. He has said previously that he would sell other parts of the site to other developers and that he would only develop 100 homes himself. Maybe that has now changed. But it would be useful to have clarity on this too if Angel's 'commitment' to the proposal is to be judged an issue. He has also said that the affordable housing is allocated to the part of the site he owns and is not zoned for the Council-owned land he is including in the masterplan. This is a welcome clarification. The total housing proposed in the masterplan is 600 units of which 25% min (150) are to be affordable and of these 70% (105) are to be rental and the balance (45) are shared ownership. Can Charles disclose how many of each type of home are allocated to his part of the site and how many to the LDC-owned land?   | | You must login if you wish to contribute to this forum.
