sab64   New traffic plans - 2006/03/17 17:57 Having viewed the revised exhibition, what worries me most is the revised traffic flow plan by ESCC highways. It seems they are replacing old problems with new. The areas which particularly caught my eye are: 1. Travelling down Market St into the one-way system, you will get about 10 yards to switch to the left lane to avoid being sent back round again, otherwise you end up on the new traffic island at the top of East St. 2. To come out of the Waitrose carpark access road, it does not look as though you can turn right, so to get back across the bridge involves a lengthy tour of the town centre. 3. To come out of the Phoenix Quarter, and head towards Chailey/Cooksbridge will involve going all around the town centre.
