Traffic routing - 2006/01/25 17:31I realise that this topic comes under Infrastructure but I am interested to know if anyone has specifically asked where and how the increased traffic will be routed throughLlewes under the scheme? Many people have raised this concern with me so I assume questions must have been asked.

Re:Traffic routing - 2006/03/22 03:31I would be fascinated to know the answer to this increased traffic flow burden on the already busy roads through the town. Please let me know if you receive any answers to this major problem in Lewes.

Re:Traffic routing - 2006/03/22 18:31I looked at the traffic routing plans at the exhibition and couldn't see how you would get from, say, the Phoenix Causeway to the Elephant & Castle on the Offham Road without going on a complete tour of Lewes. Surely this doesn't make any kind of sense, because the town will become even more clogged up with people on circuitous routes home? (or to the pub!)

Re:Traffic routing - 2006/04/22 00:57I have read in another part of the site that the Council is responsible for sorting out the parking, and highways issues. Is this correct?. Does the developer not have to do anything to contribute towards identifying what changes may be required. Could he perhaps explain?

Dear site visitor at IP address 38.103.63.60. We were forced to make it necessary for you to register and login before making forum postings because of the constant flood of unwanted and often abusive material that was being uploaded by anonymous spammers from all over the world. I'm sure you know the sort of stuff - viagra ads and the like - what a bore! But you can of course read the postings without logging in, and in any case it only takes a couple of minutes to register - you're not losing your privacy, but you're keeping out the spammers. So do please register and continue using the forum - we need your input! Thanks, Lewes Matters Admin.
