Re:Affordable housing - 2006/05/04 11:54Surely if Mr Style's own recommended development has 35%, and Brighton has 40% then the Council can't accept arguements that it is not possible to require a similar amount. This is our last chance to provide a good quantity of affordable housing in the town centre especially after the disaster on the Malling Brooks site, that has never been properly explained.

Re:Affordable housing - 2006/08/30 02:23Lewes has some relatively affordable housing on the Landport and the Malling estates and yet this development promises to place these at greater risk of flooding as the developer only has to attend to the area upon which he is building and the Pells. What exactly do we mean by affordable housing in Lewes and how integrated will this be within the development as a whole if the developer meets his unenforceable commitment. What is his track record in honouring such commitments in his previous developments and will Piers Gough be designing the affordable housing or will that be left to Barratt or Wimpey or their like?
