What happens if I want to comment on the application?

From the date that the application is announced in the Sussex Express there is a statutory 21 days in which to let the council have your comments. However, because of the sheer scale of this scheme and allowing for the summer break, we have checked with a planning consultant to see what flexibility there is on this.

He says "For schemes of this scale, the application consideration process is likely to take many months. Councils are supposed to take into account any representations made before a decision is taken. In practice, it is likely there will be a longer period to comment. However, clarifying this with the council is a sound idea."

We will  be  seeking to clarify this with  Andrew Hill who is the Planning officer dealing with the Phoenix application.
