On Friday June 2nd at 12 noon, South-East England's Green MEP Caroline Lucas was due to visit Furniture Now! - the Phoenix based furniture/recycling charity. Dr Lucas and director Tub Collins will discuss the impact any relocation would have on this important and pioneering local business, in the light of the forthcoming Phoenix Quarter proposals.

"We need to build sustainable businesses, and Furniture Now! is delivering important services in recycling furniture, collecting recyclables and providing training in furniture restoration to people with enduring mental health problems. We're very proud of delivering a much-needed and popular service. In 2004 alone nearly six thousand people used us, and we collected 824 tonnes of recyclables from kerb sides across town."
