Lewes Matters has written to our MP Norman Baker regarding our concern over the consultation period that will follow when the application is submitted and also certain items in his Lewes Handbook article. Click here to view the letter.

Why? Because having established with the developer that a more realistic date for an application will be the beginning of August, we have raised some serious issues which need rapid clarification. Technically from the date the application appears in the Sussex Express residents wishing to write letters of objection or support will have only 21 days to write to the Planning Department. Yes, just twenty one days in August when many of us are on holiday, including Officers in the Planning Department for whom we will surely have important questions. Click here to read more
