Update 13.04.07

Phoenix model

During Thursday (12th April 2007) night's presentation by MEP Caroline Lucas at Pelham House, a question was asked concerning land owned by Lewes District Council in North St; Norman Baker as Chair responded to clarify LDC's position. Our spokesman Anthony Dicks has today confirmed with our MP the Council's position as follows;

"I have spoken to Lewes District Council Leader, Cllr Ann de Vecchi and she has confirmed to me that the Council has not sold and does not intend to sell its holdings to this developer (Angel Property)." Quote from Norman Baker MP in conversation with Lewes Matters Spokesman, Anthony Dicks Friday, 13th April 2007.

Angel Property's 'Phoenix Quarter' website has now gone live (http://www.thephoenixquarter.co.uk/). We hope that the discussion forum on this site will provide a useful resource for townspeople to discuss their reactions to it.
